Crimped hair?!

Crimped hair is back... my thoughts on this hairstyle is that some trends should really stay in the decade they were conceived in...

Not surprised..... Bella Thorne is the queen of crazy trends from body glitter to crazy hair and eyeshadow colors. Now crimped hair.... I applaud Belle for her ummm boldness?

DIY Dip Nails

That's right you read it correctly! Today I am going to tell you how you can save MAJOR $$$ by doing your own dip nails at home!

When you go to the nail salon you can easily spend $50 on dip nails... and the worst part is, in 2-3 weeks you gotta go back and get them redone.

Why do you need to do your nails?

'My mom always drilled it in my head to have nice, pretty nails,' Kylie (Jenner) said. “It’s just really important to her. Anytime she meets someone, she’ll look at your fingernails.

She does have a point... having nice nails really does pull your whole look together

So.....

Without further ado.....

What you have all been waiting for.....

HOW TO DIY DIP NAILS

Disclaimer: I am not a nail tech so I don't know if this is the right way to do your nails. This is just the way I did them and I really liked the results.

Purchase:

You will need to purchase a couple of things

1. The Revel Nail Dip Powder Liquid Steps 1-4

3. A nail file and buffer from your local pharmacy or grocery store

Instructions:

1. Take off any nail polish you may have on and buff out your nails

2. Apply number 1 of the Revel Nail PRO BASE

3. Dip your nails in the powder of choice

4. Apply number 2 of the Revel Nail ACTIVATOR

5. Dip your nails in the powder of choice

6. Apply another coat of number 2 of the Revel Nail ACTIVATOR

7. Dip your nails in the powder of choice. (if you like the pigmentation of the color on the third dip then you can continue with the steps but if you don't, repeat steps 6 and 7 until you reach the color you want)

8. Apply the last coat of number 2 of the Revel Nail ACTIVATOR

9. file down your nails and buff the top of the dip to make it smooth

10. Apply Number 3 of the Revel Nail FINISH GEL

viola you have finished

TIP: To make your nails look more "perfect" all I did was just keep filing the edges down

Result:

Overall, I really loved how the nails turned out. They weren't perfect the first time but I learned a lot and knew exactly how to improve them. These DIP nails took me about 1 hour to do which isn't bad considering it takes just as long if not longer at the nail salon. I highly recommend this DIY!

How to fix dry/damaged hair?

Is your hair a hot mess?

Do you have dry straw like tangled hair that isn't even worth the time and energy to brush out let alone straighten or curl?

WELL YOU HAVE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE!

lol jk this isn't an infomercial

but really if your hair is super damaged I'm in the same place girl! I LOVE to change up the color of my hair. Although, I'm not as adventurous as Kylie Jenner I love love love lighter hair. The only problem with wanting light hair as a brunette is the fact that you have to bleach it. A ton.

You bleached it and now your hair is D. E. A. D.

I have been doing so much research on ways to repair your hair naturally and everyone keeps bringing up Coconut Oil.

So I tested it out...

Ingredients:                                                                                                                                          All u need is some organic coconut oil (I picked mine up at my local grocery store which was like $5-$10)

Steps:

  • You first need to scoop a generous amount into a bowl and let it float on some hot water until its all melted (You can also microwave it if thats easier for you). Since its fall/winter time the oil hardens due to the cooler temperatures.
  • Next, pick up some on the melted oil in your hand and just rub it into dry hair. I would recommend doing this with dirty hair.
  • Once your whole head is coated just start massaging you scalp and hair. Not only is this a great way to repair damaged hair, it also helps your hair grow faster! Massage the oil in for 15-30 min.
  • When u finish massaging your hair, leave it in for a Minimum: 30 min Maximum: as long as you like

"I did this in the morning before class and put my hair up in a bun and went on with my day.. If you really don't care what people think then you can do what I did but know that you will get some weird looks.. The best time to do it would probably be at night and just wear a shower cap to sleep. The longer you keep it in; the better the results."

  • Then when you want it out just shampoo your hair normally and do your thing!

So after one use I realized this stuff is..... MAGICAL. I highly recommend it to everyone but just know that it's not going to permenantly fix your hair with one use. I would recommend using it one or twice a week for a couple months. You will definitely see a difference and it will work wonders.
