How to fix dry/damaged hair?
Is your hair a hot mess?
Do you have dry straw like tangled hair that isn't even worth the time and energy to brush out let alone straighten or curl?
WELL YOU HAVE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE!
lol jk this isn't an infomercial
but really if your hair is super damaged I'm in the same place girl! I LOVE to change up the color of my hair. Although, I'm not as adventurous as Kylie Jenner I love love love lighter hair. The only problem with wanting light hair as a brunette is the fact that you have to bleach it. A ton.
You bleached it and now your hair is D. E. A. D.
I have been doing so much research on ways to repair your hair naturally and everyone keeps bringing up Coconut Oil.
So I tested it out...
Ingredients: All u need is some organic coconut oil (I picked mine up at my local grocery store which was like $5-$10)
Steps:
- You first need to scoop a generous amount into a bowl and let it float on some hot water until its all melted (You can also microwave it if thats easier for you). Since its fall/winter time the oil hardens due to the cooler temperatures.
- Next, pick up some on the melted oil in your hand and just rub it into dry hair. I would recommend doing this with dirty hair.
- Once your whole head is coated just start massaging you scalp and hair. Not only is this a great way to repair damaged hair, it also helps your hair grow faster! Massage the oil in for 15-30 min.
- When u finish massaging your hair, leave it in for a Minimum: 30 min Maximum: as long as you like
"I did this in the morning before class and put my hair up in a bun and went on with my day.. If you really don't care what people think then you can do what I did but know that you will get some weird looks.. The best time to do it would probably be at night and just wear a shower cap to sleep. The longer you keep it in; the better the results."
- Then when you want it out just shampoo your hair normally and do your thing!
So after one use I realized this stuff is..... MAGICAL. I highly recommend it to everyone but just know that it's not going to permenantly fix your hair with one use. I would recommend using it one or twice a week for a couple months. You will definitely see a difference and it will work wonders.
Much Love, XX
